4040 - Binary Ripple Counter

The 4040 is a 12-stage binary ripple counter IC from the CD4000 CMOS series, housed in a 16-pin DIP package. It counts on the negative clock edge, with a master reset to clear outputs. Operating on 3V to 18V, it offers high noise immunity, low power dissipation, and ESD protection. Compatible with TTL/CMOS, it’s ideal for frequency division and timing applications across -55°C to 125°C.
